Message from the President of Texans for State Parks:

We must remember, with the current budget problems in the State, there will be cuts. The people in the Legislature were elected with the idea of not raising taxes. The cuts will be in every agency in the State. Parks are not singled out. We are asking that the cuts be made fairly and not cut out programs we have all fought for over the years. With this in mind, we need your help to get word to our Members of the Legislature.

We must speak as one voice for all of our Parks and Park Programs. We must not only support our Local State Park, but also our entire Texas State Parks system. Please keep this in mind when you are working for your Park.

If you have questions or suggestions, follow the link at the bottom of this page and we will be glad to help you in any way we can.

John Cobb
President
Texans for State Parks

Texans for State Parks will be posting new links as we go into this 82nd Legislative Session with information for all our Texas State Parks Friends Groups and interested parties. If you have other links that you think are important, contact us on the email link below.

We want information important to our Parks that have facts, and has no political agenda in nature.
